In my opinion, the American mindset in not so different than others. All people hold some sort of nationalism and pride in their country. Our need to be first, while it has contributed to arrogance and pride issues, also helps us improve our standards for athletics, school and many other things. This mindset is seen on a daily basis by nearly every American, they may portray it in different ways, but it effects people they come in contact with, and how they view things.
