9 + 3q = 4q
bring the like terms onto the same side, so since 3q and 4q are like terms, let us bring them to one side
so when we move positive 3q to the other side it will turn into negative 3q so...
9 = 4q - 3q
so when you subtract 3q from 4q you should get 1q which is basically q
so it is ... 9 = q
when we flip the equation it will be q = 9
aand that will be your final answer
q = 9
