All checked baggage on a particular airline company must not exceed 64 inches or an additional fee is charged.

The size of the baggage is determined by adding length + width + height.

If a bag has a height of 22 inches and a width
that is 16 inches less than the length, what lengths are acceptable for the bag to be checked free of charge?

If the bag is to be checked free of charge. its length must be __ inches or less.

With the equation 22+x-16+x=64 you get x=29, therefor the length must be 29 inches or less.
