A 5-pound sack of potatoes is supposed to weigh 5
 pounds. However, actual weights of the sacks vary
 somewhat. An inspector selects a random sample of 50
 sacks of potatoes from the large packaging plant and
 weighs them
 The inspector will calculate the sample mean and use
 that to determine if there is convincing evidence that the
 true mean weight of all sacks of potatoes differs from 5
 pounds.
