Chimpanzees reproduce sexually, and sponges reproduce asexually. What disadvantage do chimpanzees have compared to sponges?

Answer:

When an organism reproduces asexually, it does not need a mate. This eliminates the competition to find another organism to reproduce with. Because of this, chimpanzees have to fight harder for resources.

I just copyed and pasted it- sorry.
