This is basically the formula for volume of pyramid:

Volume of Pyramid = 1/3 × Base Area x Height

OR

Volume of Pyramid = (Base Area x Height)/3

V = Bh/3

Given:

B = 4 cm²

h = 6 cm

V = Bh/3

= (4 x 6) / 3

= 24 / 3

V = 8

Hence

V = 8 cm³

If you want to represent this into inches simply divide 8 with 2.54 as

1 cm = 2.54 inches So,

8 cm / 2.54 cm = 3.15 in
