Mental health is a specific diagnosis something you have to function with on a daily basis whereas emotional health is directed towards your emotions like when your dog dies for example can take a large toll on your emotional health it can make you sad or angry but if you had mental health issues and this happened like depression then you probably would be in a deep state of depression for a while and not just be sad for a couple weeks
