Why do you think the Ottoman Empire did not conquer further into Africa or parts of the Arabian Peninsula (Saudi Arabia)?

Answer:The Ottoman Empire, like most throughout history, were more interested in taking coastal ports which would give them access to world trade. Central Africa, the middle of Saudi Arabia, at that time had no known resources. (Of course today, with oil in Saudi Arabia, it is a different matter). Also, it is not easy to conquer and more importantly keep, territory that is far from the coast.
