How and why was buddhism accepted and rejected in china

Answer:

China already had confucianism who had a somewhat different approach to life for example the social social system. In confucianism they had a social system and believed that everyone falls somewhere called filial piety while buddhism promoted equality. Confucianism was also a dominant religion in China and considered Buddhism as a competitor.
