SHORT ANSWER - Explain at least 2 differences between the Ancient Greek city-states of Athens and Sparta.

- Sparta is their government, economy, and society. Spartan society focused on militants society whose economy was based on farming and conquering. Athenian society, which was based on trade, valued art and culture and was ruled under a form of democracy.
- Sparta women didn’t rely on their husband and were able to own property. They could also been educated and wealthy. Unlike Athenian women weren’t educated and were very dependent of a male.

The main difference between Athens and Sparta is that Athens was a form of democracy, whereas Sparta was a form of oligarchy. Athens and Sparta are two prominent Greek rival city-states. Though these are not very far away from each other, there are many differences between these two states.
