Our early ancestors had to follow prey as they migrated and gather what edible fruits and plants they could find. Then, in the late Neolithic period, humans made a huge leap forward, as they began farming and husbandry. Agriculture allowed us to settle down in one place, instead of living a nomadic, so they helped people
