My thoughts on the battle of gettysburg:

  • Abraham Lincoln's speech was magnificent

The battle of Gettysburg did some positive for the world, the aftermath of it gave a (what you call) morale boost and ended Robert Lee's final plans to invade north. The setting was ore of a dedication to the cementary he was at, Abe lincoln delivered his infamous speech starting with "four score and 7 years ago". Altought the only negative was that a lot of soilders were sacrificed for this importance.
