Use the rules of PEMDAS: 48 ÷ 6 = 8
Plug 8 in: 64 - 8 × 4 + 8
8 × 4 = 32
Plug 32 in: 64 - 32 + 8
64 - 32 = 32
Plug 32: 32 + 8
32 + 8 = 40
