It has been stated that almost all energy used by organisms can be tracked back to the sun. How is this possible since some organisms are never exposed to sun.

Plants get energy from the sun using photosynthesis. Then organisms such as caterpillars and other organisms eat the plants and get energy from it. This chain keeps on going and going
