Given :

Area of room excluding closet is ,
$a=235.675\ ft^2$ .

Area of closet is ,
$b=10.45\ ft^2$ .

To Find :

Area of max's room including the closet .

Solution :

Let , area of max's room including the closet is A .

So , Total area = Area of room excluding closet + Area of closet .

$A=a+b\\\\A=(235.675+10.45)\ ft^2\\\\A=246.125\ ft^2$

Therefore , area of his room ,including the closet is 246.125 square feet .

Hence , this is the required solution .
