To me friends are more important to me than when I was in elementary school. The reason I feel this way is because now we are older and can tell who is a true friend, and who is not one. Now we know who will be around throughout our lives and not just who wants to play with our toys. Friends now are likely be around as we go through adulthood, unlike in elementary school when they are mostly temporary as we discover who we are.
