Six times the sum of a number and seven is 30. Find the number.

Let another no. be x.

So, the condition is 6(x+7)= 30

Now,

6(x+7) = 30

6x +42 = 30

6x = 30-42


x = ( - 12)/(6)

Therefore the no. is -2.

Check,

6(-2+7)= -12 + 42 = 30 { they gets subtracted but sign remains (+) only }.
