In short, there is no “one way” to conduct an experiment.

There are multiple types of experiments, one of the few things that they have in common is that they all provide the scientist with data. For a specific experiment, or question, the most reliable answer is one that has been tested multiple times. Meaning that a test needs to be conducted more than 2 times to be completely finished.
