you need to get a by itself

so first we have to get the 2 out of there

to get the division of two away we need to multiply it to both sides. When multiplying two it cancels on the left but makes 14 to 28.

so you are left with

7a=28

now since 7 is being multiplied by a we need to do the opposite and divide by both sides. Dividing 7 will cancel out the seven on the left and make the 28 divided by 7. Which is 4.

SO then we are left with a=4
