He was mostly just another colonel caught in the war. His main role was invading New Mexico and securing it fr the Confederacy. He enjoyed his success alongside E.R.S Canby but was defeated after his supply train blew up and he was forced to retreat. Court-martial charges were not kind to him either. He was never going to lead men in battle ever again.
