Can progress be made without conflict? Explain why or why not.

No, there has to be a conflict for progress to be made. It doesn't matter what kind of conflict, from child labor or bad soil. Progress is made when people believe something needs to change, they won't make progress if they think something is okay and isn't hurting anyone or anything.
