12m=15m-18

subtract 15m on both sides


12m-15m=15m-18-15m


-3m=-18

divide by -3 on both sides


(-3m)/(-3)=(-18)/(-3)

since
(-a)/(-b)=(a)/(b)


(-18)/(-3)=6


m=6
