Answer:

It is so because plant can be native in two continents.

For Example:

1. Abutilon grandifolium, is native to South Africa and occurs, mainly in the KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape Provinces but It is also reported to be native to South America.

2. The ancient tree (Carob tree) is native around Mediterranean Continents (Europe, Africa and Asia).
