What did American women do at the homefront during World War II?

American women played important roles during World War II ,both at home and in uniform. ...As the men fought abroad,women on the Home Front work in defense plants and volunteered for war -related organization,in addition to managing their households.

Answer: Women were employed in a variety of jobs that normally would be carried out by men. Women held jobs as farmers, defense plants, and even joined the military (normally in medical areas). On top of holding jobs traditionally held by men, they maintained their homes and normal responsibilities as wives.
