What did king lear mean when he said “we will all laugh at gilded butterflies” in Shakespeare’s play?

If I remember correctly King Lear, this line it's referred to the courtesans that are fake like golden butterflies. It's meaning is: “We will laugh at their hypocrisy sooner or later” implying that their attitude and character is fake. :D
