Love is to Romeo as air is to lungs.

Romeo made it very clear he would rather die than be separated from Juliet, he also went as far as murdering Juliet’s cousin, Tybalt, who killed his friend Mercutio. He was always driven by his emotions, and his love for his friends and romantic interests. even before he met Juliet, his thoughts and actions were usually dictated by emotions and his romantic interest of that time.
