Three primary principle of US constitution are government by the people, separation of powers and inherent rights. Self government is the most important principle.

The executive branch is responsible for enforcing and carrying out laws. President, Vice President, cabinet, independent agencies, boars, commissions, committees and executive departments all come under executive.

Legislative branch of US government is responsible for making laws. Congress is the legislative. The members of the Senate and House of Representatives are part of legislative branch and are elected by the United States.
