Let

Total number of bricks=x

Bricks used Yesterday=5/8x

Bricks planned for Tomorrow =1/4x

Total used brick=yesterday + Tomorrow

=5/8x+1/4x

= 5+2/8x

=7/8x

Total bricks remaining= Total number of bricks + Total number of used bricks

= x - 7/8x

= 8x-7x /8

Equivalent to
