48.28 cm

Explanation:

The shortest distance would be to travel diagonally to the top-right corner, and then travel along the edge to B,

Diagonal = 20^2+20^2=c^2

400+400=c^2

800=c^2

square root of 800=c

c=28.28

Edge = 20

Total: 20+20.28=48.28 cm
