Why did the Republican Isolationists refuse to ratify President Wilson’s League of Nations?

The League of Nations was founded by President Wilson after the World War I to ensure sustenance/maintenance of world peace.

The Republican Isolationists however refused to ratify President Wilson’s League of Nations. This was because of their opposing views to Article 10 which could deny the United States the freedom to declare war when necessary. It could also deny the country from expanding its territorial boundaries.
