A morbidity is some kind of virus or bacteria that infects a population. When we say children are increasingly affected by a broad and new complex array of new morbidities, we mean that children think that they're less prone to diseases and don't care as much as they used to. Nowadays, the coronavirus targets younger folks, because they think they have better immune systems. Then, the kids don't care about safety.
