A kite is flying at an angle of elevation of about 55°. Ignoring the sag in the string, find the height of the kite if 85 m of string has been let out.

Answer: 69.6 m

Explanation:

Sin 55 deg = opposite side/hypotenuse

0.819 = height/string length

0.819 * 85= height

height = 69.6 m
