The Reconquista was a quest for Spanish to kick the Arabs out of their land and Europe. Because of that they started Crusade, which the Europe Cristian power fight the Muslim power in the Middle East. That time, they were with other power to fight against Muslims or Islam. Pelagius of Asturias was the one started the Reconquista
