1. Corruption among the ruling classes leading to underdevelopment of the country.

2. Nepotism among the civil servants. This is where families and friends are given government contracts.

3. Population also has an effect on the development of the country. Lack of family planning and inadequate planning leads to exponential population which affect the limited resources.

4. Lastly, economic and unemployment factors also affect the potential of Pakistan. A situation where, the population of unemployed is far above the resources and jobs available leads to underdevelopment in Pakistan.
