£80 is divided between Fiona, Pip & Sara so that Fiona gets twice as much as Pip, and Pip gets three times as much as Sara. How much does Fiona get?

Answer:

Fiona got £48

Explanation:

let Sara=x

Pip=3x

Fiona=2(3x)

x+3x+2(3x)=£80

4x+6x=£80

10x=£80

10x/10=£80/10

x=£8

therefore Sara(x) got £8

Pip=3x

=3(8)

=£24

Fiona=2(3x)

=2(24)

=£48.
