I NEED HELP BEFORE 1:20 P.M!

The difference between Monday's high temperature and 0°F is x. The difference between Tuesday's high temperature and 0°F is greater than x. On neither day was the high temperature was exactly 0°F. Linda claims "If I knew whether Tuesday's high temperature was above or below 0°F, I could figure out which day's high temperature was colder." Is she correct? Explain.

Answer: She is not correct because that is a dependent statement.

We do not know Monday or Tuesday’s high temperature, therefore we do not know whether Monday or Tuesday’s temperature is colder than the other’s.

But, we do know that Tuesday’s high temperature is higher than Monday’s, so we know Monday’s high is cooler than Tuesday’s
