The best literary devices for a reflective essay could be the use of irony at the beginning, using metaphors and similes to express your point more thoroughly in a way that appeals to the reader, and finally a hyperbole and a personification that would make a nice light-hearted conclusion that, in a way, makes sense to what exactly you are writing, and puts the essay down at exactly where it should stop. once you feel like you have reached that point, do not go on. that would be like overkill, and your devices would have been unnecessary, as you would have explained your entire point anyways for the reader, rather than letting the reader think and wonder about what your next sentence would be about.
