Explanation:

Radius is same in both cones....

Slant height of lower cone = 50 cm ( by applying Pythagorean theorem )

TSA of the lower cone = 22/7 × 14 × ( 14 + 50 )

= 2816 cm^2

Total height of the solid = 52.8 cm

Height of the upper cone = 52.8 - 48 = 4.8 cm

TSA of the upper cone = 22/7 × 14 × ( 14 + 4.8 )

= 827..2 cm^2

TSA of the solid = 2816 + 827.2 = 3643.2 cm^2
