When amoeba comes in contact with food ,it produces pseudopodia around the food particles the food get trapped in food vacuole. Digestive juices are secreted into the food vacuole to digest the food. The digested food is absorbed and used for production of energy. the undigested food present in the food vacuole, is expelled. from the amoeba, by the process of egestion
