When multiplying two binomials together,

we can use the F.O.I.L. method.

F.O.I.L. stands for first, outer, inner, last.

We take the product of the First terms, plus the product of the Outer terms, plus the product of the Inner terms,

plus the product of the Last terms.

So we have t · t or as our first term.

t1 or t is our second term.

7 · t or 7t is our third term.

7 · 1 or 7 is our last term.

So we have t² + t + 7t + 7.

This simplifies to t² + 8t + 7.
