Total number of boys and girls = (9 +6) = 15

Probability = (required outcome / Total possible outcomes)

Probability of a girl and then a boy :

(Number of girls / total number) × (number of boys / total number - 1)

(9/15) × (6/14) = 54/210 = 9/35

B.) The event is both dependent and independent because both events can occur independently, however, the total number of possible outcomes is altered when determining the probability for the second spot.
