£90 is divided between Mark, Henry & Gavin so that Mark gets twice as much as Henry, and Henry gets three times as much as Gavin. How much does Mark get?

Mark gets £54

Explanation:

Let Gavin share=x

Henry=3x

Mark=2(3x)

x+3x+2(3x)=£90

x+3x+6x=£90

10x=£90

x=9

Gavin=x=£9

Henry=3x

=3(9)=£27

Mark=2(3x)

=2(3*9)

=2(27)

=£54
