Answer: 1. Ability of some plants to grow taller than Thier counterparts for sunlight.

2. The ability to release toxic substances to avoid competition from other plants

3. The ability of the plant to extend its roots for water and nutrients.

Explanation: A natural setting occurs in the forest where plants depends on sunlight and nutrients and water from the soil for survival and growth without the interference of man.

Because of these, there would be competition as the resources are limited enabling only the stronger to survive and grow and such evidences can be seen in

1. Some plants grow rapidly and become taller, other have broad leaves than other plants in the competition for sunlight at the expense of other plants eg redwoods trees or oak trees.

2. Some plants have the ability to extend Thier roots as far as possible to get water and nutrients to ensure Thier survival and growth.

3. Some plants release toxins to the environmental to prevent other plants from existing close to them to compete with them. Eg sunflower.
