How can you determine the distance between the corners without measuring it?

This was kind of vague, but I'll try my best.

You can use the distance formula! It is basically the pythagorean theorem.

Here's the steps,

1. draw a right triangle from the corners. If you have graph paper, this should be relatively easy.

2. locate the hypotenuse, that is the distance.

3. next use the pythagorean theorem/ distance formula (same thing)

4. Except, instead of a and b and c, replace them with

(Change in x)²+(change in y)²= distance²

Now plug in the values

Now you're done!
