We see that in the left column, the integers increase by one at a time and that in the right column, the integers decrease by two at a time. Therefore, the rate of the increasing and decreasing of numbers is the same throughout the table so this line is linear.

Also, you could use desmos, a graphing calculator which is free on your computer to plot these points and to see that the line is linear.
