z1 - 2z = 2

Explanation:

make 2i stand alone in both equations

therefore, in equation one, we have;

z1-5=-2i

5-z1=2i

we do same in equation 2

z2-3=2i

therefore, comparing the two equations, we can equate them!

2z-3=z1-5

-3+5=z1-2z

2 = z1 - 2z

therefore, z1 - 2z = 2
