Ms. Oliveda bought a grapefruit for .89c and three oranges. The total cost of the fruit was $2.15. How much did each orange cost?

GRAPEFRUIT: .89c
subtract the grapefruit from the total cost: $2.15-.89c= $1.26
There are 3 oranges so you have to divide $1.26 by 3
Money always on top so: $1.26/3= $0.42

Each orange costs $0.42
