Latent learning is a type of learning that is not immediately expressed. It is not displayed behaviorally until there is enough motivation. It occurs with no obvious reinforcement of the behavior that are learned. Example: a young child learns how to do a simple equation in math. However, the knowledge learned is not apparent right away.
