Answer: f(x) = (x - 32)²

Explanation:

y = a(x - p)(x - q)

  • a: vertical stretch
  • p & q: x-intercepts

Since it is given that there is only one x-intercept at x = 32,

then p = 32 and q = 32.

--> y = a(x - 32)(x - 32)

You can choose any POSITIVE value for "a" (since it is concave UP)

I chose a = 1 --> y = 1(x - 32)²
