But one of the models i am playing around with red shift, is that part of the red shift is due to the photons dragging on space, and this causes the photons to loose energy, and move in the red direction. This in turn eliminates the need for a geometric expansion of space, which i am having an awful time getting right.
If photons drag on space, it means there is some kind of proper motion, which we see in the relation of blue-shift v red-shift. Dopler effect is relative to the ether, and the idea that energy changes in frame reference gives some sort of geometric issue.
